Five Arsenal players were included in the London best starting Xl of the week in the weekly report by Football London after their win against Tottenham Hotspurs.
Arsenal has won 2-0 in the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspurs where Arsenal played one of their best matches so far this season, where most of the players where superb. The list included the following players and their ratings:
Petr Cech ( goalkeeper ): Didn’t have a lot to do with Tottenham’s bad performance, but had a couple of good saves, especially Harry Kane’s shot. Cech was rated 7/10
Laurent Koscielny ( Centre-back ): One of his best matches this season and a special occasion on his 300th appearances with Arsenal. Koscielny didn’t have a foot wrong in the match, and was one of the best players and contributed to having a clean sheet. Arsenal’s captain was rated 9/10
Shkodran Mustafi ( Centre-back ): Another man who was behind the North London Glory for Arsenal after a solid performance in the defense and scoring the first goal. Mustafi was rated 9/10
Granit Xhaka (Central midfield): Nothing much to do defensively, but was one of Arsenal’s figures in the derby. He dominated the midfield with his partner Aaron Ramsey. Xhaka was rated 9/10
Mesut Ozil (attacking midfielder): One of his best performances this season, and silenced the critics after Manchester City’s match, which was one of his worst matches. Ozil provided an assist for Arsenal’s first goal by Mustafi, and won the man of the match. Ozil was rated 9.5/10
