Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s manager, has officially confirmed a new injury blow ahead of Huddersfield Town Premier League match today, Wednesday.
In a pre match conference, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Arsenal’s forward, Alex Iwobi, is ruled out of the crucial match against Huddersfield Town due to an injury he picked up during FC Burnley’s win three days ago where Arsenal won 1-0.
Arsene Wenger said:” From Sunday’s match, we didn’t have Mesut Ozil due to illness. He will be back to training and we will assess his situation ahead of the match whether he is fit or not.” Wenger continued:” Alex Iwobi has a dead leg and will not be able to play against Huddersfield Town.”
This new injury blow gives Arsene Wenger a bad time for to find a formation where Mesut Ozil and his replacement, Alex Iwobi, are both ruled out until this moment.
Wenger may play with Danny Welbeck on the right wing, or Oliver Giroud alongside with Alexander Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez. Another option may be starting Jack Wilshere as a winger, where Arsene Wenger is playing the English player as a winger in Europa League and EFL Cup matches.
Knowing that the Nigerian forward, Alex Iwobi, played seven Premier League matches as a starter or substitute, in addition to other Europa League and EFL Cup matches.
