Arsenal Match Report And Players Ratings And Man Of The Match Against West Brom

Three valuable points from an offensive match from Arsenal, and a terrible defense as well. All the team was attacking and pressuring forward, while West Brom depended on the counter attack, and they were so close to score the first goal.

We will rate our players after every match, here is Arsenal Insider players ratings:

Petr Cech: Nothing much to do. One great block by his body though. 7/10

Laurent Koscielny:  Average match. 7/10

Shkodran Mustafi: Was really shaky today and was going to give West Brom a penalty and a goal as well. 5/10

Nacho Monreal: a left back who plays as a central defender and striker. Saved Arsenal from a 100% goal. 8/10

Hector Bellerin: Monreal and Bellerin were defending more than the central defenders. 8/10

Sead Kolasinac: Good match, was helping in the attack. 7/10

Mohamed Elneny: Today he was helping in the attack, not only defense like usual. 7/10

Granit Xhaka: Shaky first half and better second half. Still not a consistent player. 5/10

Aaron Ramsey: Played well as a winger as well and gave Arsenal a penalty, but wasn’t so dangerous like Chelsea’s match. 6/10

Alexis Sanchez: Most active player and assisting the first goal, which was going to score it himself. Won three free kicks and was the most dangerous. 8/10

Alexander Lacazette:  One goal by standing in a good position, and a penalty. but wasn’t the “killer” Arsenal needed and missed several chances and one to one. Even though he was playing well without the ball as well. He still needs time and to adapt. 7/10

Mesut Ozil:  N/A

Oliver Giroud: N/A
Ainsley Maitland-Niles: N/A

Man of the match: Lacazette and Sanchez were the best two. Lacazette scored two goals and one by a penalty. Moved well without a ball, but wasn’t what’s expected from him. However, Sanchez was more dangerous and was behind the first goal and most of the fouls by West Brom were on him.

I would give the MOTM award to both of them, but if I have to choose one, it would be Sanchez.

Arsene Wenger (manager):  He was able to produce  a better match and more offensive. However, 3 points are the most important. 7/10
