Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s manager, has revealed the reasons behind Arsenal’s loss against FC Koln yesterday in the Europa League group stages.
Arsenal has lost 1-0 yesterday, Thursday, in the Europa League group stages the fifth match against the German club, FC Koln, in a dramatic and unexpected loss where Arsenal played mostly senior players in the squad against Koln.
Arsene Wenger has revealed the reason behind the loss and blamed the poor passing accuracy behind the bad performance.
In a post-match conference, Arsene Wenger said:” We lacked the passing accuracy in the last third on the pitch, and Koln was always pressing. We needed some time to get into the game. I can’t blame the players, they were ready.”
Knowing the Bundesliga side, FC Koln, didn’t win any match in their local league so far and have just two points from 12 matches and were able to beat Arsenal by a late penalty.
Even though Arsenal lost to FC Koln, the Gunners have already officially qualified for the next round in the Europa League and are on the top of their group with 10 points.
