Borussia Dortmund earned around £130million from selling Ousmane Dembele to FC Barcelona last week, which is the most expensive player in Barcelona’s history and to ever come to La Liga, Spain’s domestic league.
The Bundesliga club is looking to replace the Ousmane Dembele after he departed to Barcelona, and Mesut Ozil seems to be their ideal target. Dortmund can splash a good amount on Ozil after the huge amount of money they got from Barcelona.
Mesut Ozil isn’t having a good time with the Gunners, especially with Wenger’s new formation 3-4-2-1 where Ozil is playing on the right, where his preferred position is behind the striker as a play maker. Ozil didn’t renew his contract yet, which expires next summer, and doesn’t seem interested to continue with the Gunners, and Arsenal may consider selling him after his declined performance.
Mesut Ozil has been criticised for his performances since the beginning of the season, especially after Liverpools dramatic 4-0 loss in Anfield, which made Ozil for the first time apologize for the fans on Instagram.
Ozil’s current market value is around 50M Euros, and no big club is showing interest in the German player, which makes Dortmund a perfect destination for Ozil and a good deal for Arsenal.
