In a pre match conference, Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s manager, has confirmed the absence ofArsenal’s striker against Tottenham due to an injury.
Arsene Wenger has officially confirmed Oliver Giroud’s absence against Tottenham Hotspurs, on Saturday, due to an injury he picked up with his national team, France, in the 2-0 win against Wales.
Oliver Giroud scored in France’s win last week, but was subbed off on the 73rd minute, one minute after he scored, due to an injury he picked up while scoring for France, and was subbed for his Arsenal teammate, Alexander Lacazette.
Oliver Giroud picked up a thigh strain injury, and he doesn’t seem to be fit for Tottenham’s clash, and it’s still not confirmed whether he will be available for the Europa League match next Thursday against Koln away from home.
Arsene Wenger said:“ Oliver Giroud picked up an injury with France, I don’t think he will be available to play against Tottenham.” Wenger continued:“It’s short term injury, we have to assess him on Monday.”
