Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Liverpool, and former Arsenal’s midfielder have compared Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger, and Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp.
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain said in an interview with Sky Sports:” When I came to the Anfield, at the beginning I had a longer time to adapt to their playing style and understand my duties in the team. That’s why I didn’t perform well in my very first few matches with Liverpool.”
Chamberlain continued:” The competition in Liverpool to be in the starting line up is very intense, that’s why I didn’t play at the beginning of the season. Now I understand what I have to do and what my manager wants and I have adapted to their playing style.”
Chamberlain finished his interview by comparing Arsene Wenger and Jurgen Klopp:” There is a difference between Arsene Wenger and Jurgen Klopp’s playing style. Wenger insists to play in Arsenal’s favorite playing style, which is continuous passing, and he succeeded to win many trophies. While Klopp he has a very specific needs and playing style. He has the passion and the will to win every single match. He is a very special manager in his own way.”
The English midfielder, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, has left Arsenal in the summer to join Liverpool for a fee of 35m GBP after Arsene Wenger was declining that the midfielder who leave in the summer before he leaves.
