Arsenal just received an injury blast from France today after confirming Oliver Girdoud’s injury with his national team, and he returned to London to take the proper treatment, and is a major doubt for the North London derby against Tottenham.
According to the British outlet, The Sun, today Sunday, has reported that Oliver Giroud, Arsenal’s striker, has returned to Arsenal London after picking up an injury with his national team, France, while scoring France’s second goal in their 2-1 win against Wales. Oliver Giroud was suspected injured after he scored the goal, and was subbed off right after scoring the goal on the 73rd minute, but today his injury is confirmed.
Oliver Giroud was spotted wearing an ice bag on his thigh after he got subbed off to replace by his Arsenal teammate, Alexander Lacazette. Giroud admitted that he had to take inflammation pills due to pain and his participation against Germany is a doubt, but it got confirmed today.
Oliver Giroud, 31 years old, is a major doubt for the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspurs, and will miss France’s friendly match against Germany, in preparation for the World Cup in Russia next year, 2018.
Oliver Giroud’s injury will leave Arsene Wenger with a sole striker, Alexander Lacazette, to choose from against Tottenham.
