Arsenal fans received a mixed feeling today, Saturday, where one of their top signing targets for the upcoming season, 2018/2019, was reported that he underwent medicals and failed them ahead of his expected move.
Arsenal are yet to announce their second summer signing for the upcoming season for their first men team where Arsenal just signed Stephan Lichtsteiner, on a free transfer coming from the Italian Serie A giant and Champions, Juventus FC.
Arsenal were linked with a move for the French international striker, Nabil Fekir, who plays for the French Ligue 1 club, Lyon, where the player was expected to come and replace Alexis Sanchez during the winter transfer windows back in January where he played already with Alexander Lacazette and they have a good chemistry and partnership together.
However, Nabil Fekir underwent medical examinations in his new club that he wanted to move to in the Premier League, Liverpool FC, where the player is reported that he failed the medical examinations at the Anfield.
According to BBC and Lyon’s official website and social media accounts, Nabil Fekir has undergone medicals in Liverpool FC club and he failed the medical examinations due to a prior knee injury where Lyon tried to lower his price as well.
This gives Arsenal FC a hope to sign the French international player in during the summer transfer windows again after Liverpool FC failed to sign him, even though Lyon confirmed that the player will play next season at Lyon.
