Arsenal seems officially on the edge of signing and announcing their first transfer of a player for the summer transfer windows under their new manager where Arsenal are reported to be holding talks in the final stages with a top-rated and experienced defender ahead of signing and joining Arsenal.
According to the BBC trustworthy reporter, David Ornstein, Arsenal are in advanced stages in the negotiations with the Swiss international right back defender, Stephan Lichtsteiner, who has left his club, Juventus FC, after his contract expired a few days ago with the Old Lady club, and Arsenal are keen to sign him.
Several reports confirm that Stephan Lichtsteiner has arrived to London and he is holding talks right now alongside his agent London Colney where a deal is imminent and the Premier League London club may be signing him and announcing him in the upcoming few hours or days where he is a free player, and won’t cost Arsenal anything, which may be the same way as Arsenal signed Sead Kolasianc last season from the Bundesliga club, Schalke, for free and he was one of the best-left backs in the Premier League at a point last season.
David Ornstein has officially confirmed that Arsenal are working hard on the deal to sign the Swiss international right back, Stephan Lichtsteiner, where the 34 years old ex Juventus FC player would be a replacement for Hector Bellerin in some matches, and he will bring competition for the young Spaniard defender whose form and performance declined dramatically last season.
