PLAYERS RATINGS: Arsenal 1-3 Rennes

An okay first half for Arsenal where they led the result with an early goal by Alexi Iwobi. However, the red card for Sokratis at the end of the first half, has made Arsenal struggle in the second half and after he left off the pitch where the Gunners conceded one goal in the first half, and two goals in the second half.

This loss for Arsenal away from home will make the second leg complicated, especially after Manchester United’s match, where Arsenal will be keen to win both matches next week, with the suspensions and injuries the team is suffering from.

The team suffered defensively, where only Petr Cech was good today and saved Arsenal from at least two or three goals, where the second goal came as an own goal by Laurent Koscielny.
