PLAYERS RATINGS: Arsenal 2-1 Cardiff City

Arsenal won against the Premier League side, Cardiff City, at home, Emirates Stadium, after a disappointing match where Cardiff City were the better side.

Cardiff City dominated the first half and were close to score and lead, but they weren’t lucky enough. On the other hand, Arsenal suffered in the attack today as they failed to create chances and be clinical in front of the net.

However, the first goal came through a penalty by Auba, and the second goal was by Lacazette in the last 10 minutes of the mathc. In the last minutes of the injury time, Cardiff scored a goal to give Arsenal a narrow win.

Brend Leno:  Wasn’t tested a lot today. Lost the clean sheet in the last seconds. 6.5/10

Shkodran Mustafi: Good in passing, average in defending. 6.5/10

Nacho Monreal: A good come back, but was nervous and committed several fouls. 6.5/10

Stephan Lichtsteiner: Was better in going forward than the clearances and defending. 6.5/10

Sead Kolasinac: A very average match, not a single cross in the first one hour. However, won an important penalty for his team. 7/10

Mohamed Elneny: A good first half, but was subbed off in the second half. 6.5/10

Lucas Torreira: Was the most one trying in the midfield today, and was everywhere on the pitch. 7/10

Matteo Guendouzi: As well, was everywhere today and fighting for the ball. Played box to box. However, was holding the ball for too long. 7/10

Mesut Ozil: Did almost nothing today, except the passes. Not convincing at all. 6/10

Alexander Lacazette: His work rate was impressive today while he was trying to score, and at the end, he scored. 7.5/10

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Scored from a penalty. Not the best match though. 7/10

Subs

Alex Iwobi:  Made some impact in the attack. 5/10

Carl Jenkinson: Not so sure why he was subbed on. 5/10

Aaron Ramsey: Did some good work up front. 5/10

Man of the match: None of Arsenal players really deserves it.

Unai Emery: Another poor match, in the defense and in the attack. However, a none convincing win at the end of the day. 6/10
