Arsenal had a disappointing season after failing to qualify to the Champions League and losing the Europa League final against Chelsea in Baku.
Arsenal should be signing several reinforcements in order to enhance for the next season and compete for the top four and some domestic or European trophies, where the Gunners will be eyeing to enhance the defensive side mainly.
However, according to the English outlet, Metro, Arsenal’s manager, Unai Emery, has decided to make the Argentinian goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, the second choice goalkeeper at the club after the departure of Petr Cech who has retired from football.
Emiliano Martinez is playing for Arsenal for several seasons and went on loan to several clubs and the last club was the Championship side, Reading FC, where the Argentinian goalkeeper impressed in his loan spell and he seems close to being the second choice goalkeeper for the Gunners as of next season.
Arsenal are reportedly focusing t spend the transfer budget on other signings instead of signing a new goalkeeper to replace Petr Cech and compete with Brend Leno.
