Arsenal have lost again today, Sunday, another game in the Premier League Matchday 34 after losing to Rafa Benitez side, Newcastle United, away from home after a very poor and disappointing performance from Arsenal players who couldn’t overpass Newcastle United’s defense, and scored just one early goal, but conceded twice to make a very negative historical record for Arsenal.
Arsenal’s first goal came from the French striker, Alexander Lacazette, and the Gabonian striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubamyang assisted the goal, but the duo couldn’t do anything else during the match in the attack.
This loss is the fifth consecutive loss for Arsenal in the Premier League away matches which makes it the worst away record for Arsenal since 1984, and the worst losing record ever in the Premier League history where Arsenal have never lost five consecutive games in this competition ever, which makes it another historical negative record for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal in this shaky season.
Arsenal’s last five away games were against Bournemouth FC where Arsenal lost 2-1, against Swansea City where Arsenal lost 3-1, against Tottenham Hotspurs in the North London Derby where Arsenal lost 1-0, against Brighton where Arsenal lost 2-1, and finally today against Newcastle United where Arsenal lost 2-1 as well.
This loss makes Arsenal even farther away from the top four, which was already an impossible mission, and playing Champions League football is all down now to winning the Europa League where Arsenal will be playing against Atletico Madrid in around 10 days the first leg.
Arsene Wenger has rested some key players in this match as well such as Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny, and others.
