Arsene Wenger, Arsena’s manager, has officially responsed to the rumors regarding signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco, and Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City during the next January or summer transfer windows.
Wenger said in a pre match conference ahead of the match against Red Star Belgrade in Europa League tomorrow, Thursday. Wenger said about Lemar’s transfer to Arsenal: ” Arsenal has a lot of players currently, we don’t need any news player. However, some players may leave in January, then we will evaluate the situation.”
On the other hand, Arsene Wenger denied that Arsenal had any negotiations to sign the Algerian winger and best player in the Premier League two seasons ago,Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City. Wenger said:” We didn’t have any talks about Mahrez.”
Knowing that Arsenal was on the edge of signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco with a record fee in the summer in order to replace Alexis Sanchez, who was going to sign for Manchester City for 70m GBP, but both deals failed the last hours of the summer transfer windows.
